Dr. Heidi Lund

Dentistry is very rewarding: it is amazing to be able to transform a person’s smile, relieve dental pain, and restore oral health and function. These procedures improve a person’s enjoyment of life and increase their confidence!

The practice of dentistry is a combination of art, science, and people. I love being constantly challenged, and to be innovative, too. The profession gives me all of that, along with the opportunity to really help others. I appreciate being able to tell a person that something can be done to make them feel better, and seeing their relief!

I want the best for each person in my care. That starts with open communication and building trust. Knowledge is empowering, and I want my patients to make informed decisions and feel confident in their choices. Taking time to explain a diagnosis, showing photos, and discussing treatment options, are all key to how I practice dentistry.

Educational and Professional Affiliations:

Bachelor of Science in Biology, University of St. Thomas

Doctorate of Dental Surgery, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry

As a dentist, I want the best for each person who comes to see me. Through continuing education, constantly expanding and strengthening my skills and knowledge, I provide the highest-quality care.

I take courses to increase the treatment options we offer patients, stay up-to-date with current techniques and materials, and perform at a high level of expertise.

Dr. Alex Lund

Dentistry is about compassionately serving those clients who entrust us with their care. It is an honor to part of transforming people’s lives as they achieve a healthy mouth and a smile!

I chose to be a dentist after doing a medical mission trip to the Philippines during college. While working in a remote village, I treated a young boy with a severely infected tooth. I immediately saw how important dentistry could be, and how I had taken for granted the dental care I grew up with.

That experience informs how I care for each person who comes to us. I want to help people lead healthier, happier, fuller lives.

Educational and Professional Affiliations:

Undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, Bethel University

Doctorate of Dental Surgery, University of Minnesota School of Dentistry

One of the most exciting aspects of my profession is ongoing research that leads to new techniques and materials. Through continuing education, I stay current on the latest developments in dentistry, from snoring appliances to dental implants to smile makeovers, and incorporate those which show the best results.

Beyond the Office:

I was raised in Hudson, WI, and now live here in Minnesota with Dr. Heidi, my wife, whom I met in dental school.

Much of my free time is spent enjoying the great outdoors of Minnesota. I enjoy portaging in the boundary waters, camping, fishing, and hunting. Closer to home, I love relaxing with friends and family.
