Dentistry is very rewarding: it is amazing to be able to transform a person’s smile, relieve dental pain, and restore oral health and function. These procedures can improve a person’s enjoyment of life and increase their confidence!
The practice of dentistry is a combination of art, science, and people. I love working with my hands and need lots of person-to-person interaction; I like being constantly challenged and needing to be innovative, too. The profession gives me all of that, along with the opportunity to really help others. I appreciate being able to tell a person that yes, something can be done to make them feel better, whether they have a toothache or are uncomfortable with their smile, and seeing the relief on their face.
I want the best for each person in my care. That starts with open communication and building trust. It is important for patients to understand what is happening in their mouth. Knowledge is empowering, and I want my patients to make informed decisions and feel confident in their choices. Taking time to explain a diagnosis, showing photos, and discussing treatment options, are all key to how I practice dentistry.

Beyond the Office
I grew up in Alexandria, MN, and now live in Minnesota with my husband, Dr. Alex; we met in dental school. I love working alongside Dr. Alex!
If I’m not at work, I can often be found biking or exploring the outdoors. I also enjoy cooking, drawing, and time with friends and family.
